The Association of Cost Engineers 2020 Conference-8th/9th July 2020 @ Birmingham City University.
An ACostE 2020 Conference update.
Preparations continue for our 2020 conference on 8/9th July to be held at Birmingham City University.
We have some exciting presentations and workshops in preparation as well as a line-up of trade stands. But, if you have a presentation or workshop that you would like to discuss we will be pleased make contact, we still have some space in the 2-day agenda. The Sandbach office and I are working to complete the means of booking you tickets for the event and details of this will be circulated ASAP.
As I think we are all aware, this Coronavirus seems to be impacting all forms of event with many being cancelled and/or companies restricting the movement of their employees. The ACostE is concerned and will continue to monitor the situation but we remain hopeful that the 2020 Conference will go ahead. I will take guidance from the team at the Birmingham City University venue who are sending me daily bulletins.
If you have any ACostE 2020 Conference issues that you would like to discuss, a desire to register for a ‘Trade Stand’, a Presentation or Workshop please either contact the Sandbach office or come directly to myself, email@example.com, we will do our best to assist you.
STOP PRESS: Yesterday, 17th March, Birmingham City University announced the cancellation of all face to face teaching. From Monday 30th March they are teaching via on-line for the remainder of the semester. That will take them to our conference date. Angela (President of ACostE), has agreed with me that I seek an alternative date for our 2020 conference and with immediate effect postpone our planned 8th/9th July conference.
I will endeavour to post updates on our conference situation as soon as I have ‘news’. In the meantime, please continue to think up exciting presentation and workshop material, you know that you have it in you! Please, don’t forget to share it with me so that when we do reschedule, we can deliver an even more stimulating programme.
